Looking ahead to 2027, Montreal's real estate landscape is showing steady progress. MLS sales are projected to reach 46,500, a slight increase from 2026, indicating a gradual strengthening in demand throughout the city. Average property prices are anticipated to hover around $685,000, pointing to ongoing, moderate appreciation as Quebec’s housing market remains relatively balanced. For tenants, the outlook is encouraging—rental vacancy rates are expected to rise to 4.8%, thanks to significant new supply easing the pressure in the metropolitan area. Housing starts should remain robust at about 22,000 new units, even as apartment construction moderates. As someone who serves both residential and commercial clients in Laval and beyond, I keep a close eye on these trends to help my clients navigate their next real estate move with confidence.
